How do I get to Cabo (Los Cabos)?

Los Cabos, Mexico is accessible by air from most major cities in the United States and Mexico by Aeromexico, Aero California, Alaska Airlines, America West, Continental, Mexicana Airlines, United Airlines, and various charter flights flying into the Los Cabos International Airport. From Los Angeles and San Diego, the flying time is approximately 2 hours. Once you have arrived at Cabo Airport, your True Cabo host will pick you up at the baggage claim area and drive you to your villa

What do you need to travel in Mexico?

Mexico’s Entry Requirements:

Beginning on January 23, 2007 all travelers traveling are air must have a valid passport. To enter Mexico you need to obtain a Tourist Card (FMT). To get your Tourist Card you will need to prove citizenship, a passport is best for this purpose. The Government of Mexico requires that all U.S. citizens present proof of citizenship and photo identification for entry into Mexico. U.S. citizenship documents such as a certified copy (not a simple photocopy) of a U.S. birth certificate, a Naturalization Certificate, a Consular Report of Birth Abroad, or a Certificate of Citizenship are acceptable. However, the U.S. Embassy recommends traveling with a valid U.S. passport to avoid delays or misunderstandings. All travelers traveling are air must have a valid passport.

What is the climate in Cabo?

Average annual rainfall: 10 inches - Coldest months: December and January
Storm season: July to October - Average water temperature: 72º F.
Average air temperatures: 50 to 80º F. winter; 70 to 100º F. summer.
The Pacific Ocean side of Los Cabos is generally 10º F. cooler than the Sea of Cortés.

The average year-round temperature is 78F. During the high tourist season, October to April, the temperature is typically 80F during the day and cools to the 60’s at night. In the low season, May to September, the temperature will go up to 100+F during the day and stay in the upper 70’s and low 80’s in the evening. The average year-round water temperature in the Sea of Cortez is 72F. During the summer months the water temperature can reach the mid 80’s. The climate is arid with over 300 days of sunshine, with some reports of over 350 days.

What should I bring?

You can dress up as much as you like in Cabo at night, or simply put on your shorts and relax in almost any establishment.  You may want to pack something nice to stroll around the marina or hit one of our fine restaurants, art centers,  but its not necessary. You will want to pack lightweight, comfortable attire for your activities, including: swimsuits, shorts, T-shirts/tanks,  gym shoes, sandals, sunscreen, a hat, light windbreaker and of course, your camera

Who is my “trip host?”

Your trip host is your personal Baja concierge & activity coordinator. They are at your service throughout the day and into the evenings to ensure that your stay goes beautifully. Your True Cabo host has been carefully chosen for their unique Baja spirit.

Do I need a rental car?

True Cabo provides all Cabo transportation, so a rental car is not necessary. However, some guests enjoy the freedom of having their own vehicle. We are happy to reserve a rental car for you at the local Cabo agency for a portion or all of your stay.

What is your gratuity policy?

Tipping is not required. However, most guests typically leave five to 10 percent of their trip cost to be distributed among their host, guides, chefs, instructors, aestheticians, massage therapists, etc.

What happens if I need to cancel?

True Cabo will use its best efforts to reschedule your vacation with as little penalty as possible. Your deposit is non-refundable. If cancellation occurs after final payment has been made, True Cabo will refund all monies except for your deposit and any monies not refundable to us.
